Terms of use

By reading techistra.com you accept the terms below.

What this site is

Techistra publishes buying guides and explainers about consumer computing. It is journalism and reference, not professional advice, and it is not a shop: we sell nothing and take no orders. Recommendations are general, based on published documentation and third-party testing rather than our own laboratory measurements.

Accuracy

We check what we publish and correct what we get wrong, but hardware, prices and model ranges change constantly, and a guide is only accurate as of the day it was written. We give no warranty that the site is complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss arising from a purchase made on the basis of it. Spotted an error? [email protected].

The spec adviser

The laptop spec adviser is provided as-is, for indicative guidance only. Check its output against a review of the exact machine before you buy.

Links and advertising

The site links to, and carries advertising for, businesses we have no control over. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content, products, prices or practices of any other site. Any dealing you have with an advertiser or a retailer is between you and them.

Copyright

Text, tables and the spec adviser on this site belong to their authors and may not be republished in full without permission. Short quotations with a link back are welcome. Images may be licensed from third parties and are not covered by that permission.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the version on this page is the one that applies. Last revised July 2026.
