Using techistra.com means the conditions set out below apply to you.
What this site is
Techistra publishes buying guides and explainers about consumer computing. It is journalism and reference, not professional advice, and it is not a shop: we sell nothing and take no orders. Recommendations are general, based on published documentation and third-party testing rather than our own laboratory measurements.
Accuracy
We check what we publish and correct what we get wrong, but hardware, prices and model ranges change constantly, and a guide is only accurate as of the day it was written. We give no warranty that the site is complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss arising from a purchase made on the basis of it. Spotted an error? [email protected].
The spec adviser
The laptop spec adviser is provided as-is, for indicative guidance only. Check its output against a review of the exact machine before you buy.
Links and advertising
We carry advertising, and our guides point to retailers and manufacturers. Those companies set their own prices and publish their own claims, none of which we can vouch for, so a link should never be read as approval. Any dealing you have with an advertiser or a retailer is between you and them.
Copyright
Text, tables and the spec adviser on this site belong to their authors and may not be republished in full without permission. A brief quotation with a link back is fine. Photographs are a separate matter: several are licensed from third parties, and that licence does not extend to you.
Changes
This page is revised when the site changes, and the wording shown here is what governs your visit. Last revised July 2026.
